Trauma Center
Turkey Creek Medical Center is accredited as a Level III Trauma Center by the Tennessee Department of Health through the Office of Emergency Medical Services. Attaining this designation means the hospital has demonstrated it has the resources and capabilities available to provide patients with quicker access to specialized care for serious injuries.
A designated Level III Trauma Center has the ability to provide prompt assessment, resuscitation, surgery, intensive care and stabilization of acutely injured patients. Elements of a Level III Trauma Center include 24-hour immediate coverage by emergency medicine physicians and the prompt availability of general surgeons and anesthesiologists; a comprehensive quality assessment program; continued education of the trauma team; and active involvement in injury prevention and community outreach programs.
Chest Pain Centers
Turkey Creek Medical Center is equipped to handle cardiac emergencies. Chest Pain Centers are highly specialized and devoted to treating patients with acute coronary syndrome.
Stroke Centers
Tennova Healthcare provides a network for emergency stroke care. Accredited Stroke Centers meet strict national standards that support better outcomes for stroke care, treatment, rehabilitation and recovery.
Turkey Creek Medical Center has earned Advanced Disease-Specific Care Certification for the Acute Stroke Ready Hospital from The Joint Commission.
